FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport. Method for protection of wheel pairs and rail from wear consists in the fact that for protection against wear of parts of joint at mutual friction application of anti-wear coating of plastic metals in form of film on surface of friction of parts of joint. Device to control supply of metal-cladding ionization solution supplies signal for connection or disconnection of solenoid valve installed on pipeline of heated air connected with reservoir with metal-cladding ionizing solution. When the solenoid valve is switched on, the heated air is supplied through the branched pipeline into the reservoir with the metal-cladding ionization solution and into the nozzles. Metal-cladding ionization solution under air pressure is supplied from a reservoir with a metal-cladding ionization solution into a tube passing through a heated air pipeline, with branching to each nozzle. Device for protection of wheel pairs and rail from wear is arranged on frames of transport and wheeled truck and comprises a reservoir with a metal-cladding ionization solution, connected by a tube to nozzles installed on the bogie frame to provide supply and injection of metal-cladding ionization solution to friction zone of the joint parts. It has heated reservoir for air storage in it under pressure of about 8 atm, electromagnetic valve installed on heated air pipeline.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of protection of working surfaces from mechanical and hydrogen wear, operation of device at various ambient temperatures.
