FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method for treatment of degraded solvent in manufacturing diene-base solution polymers by treatment of solvent with alkaline agent solution and fractionation. As an alkaline agent method involves using hydrocarbon-solvent alkaline metal phenolates of the general formula: wherein Me means potassium (K) or sodium (Na); R1, R2, R3 are α-methylbenzyl, α,α-dimethylbenzyl, (C1-C18)-alkyl or hydrogen atom in any combination as measured for 0.0001-0.5 wt.-% of bound alkaline metal per a solvent. Invention provides effective removing halogen-containing impurities from degraded solvent being up to their complete absence and exclusion corrosion process of fractionation equipment due to creature and maintaining the necessary level of alkalinity in solvent that result to enhancing safety in manufacturing polymers.
EFFECT: improved method for treatment.
