FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed turbopiston engine contains housing, piston cylinders with combustion chambers and common cylinder cover, valve timing device with exhaust valve control drive, guide assembly, gas turbine with wheel and mechanism to convert rotation into reciprocation made in form of flywheel. Turbopiston engine is furnished additionally with hydraulic motor mounted in its lower part and connected with hydraulic pump. Gas turbine is installed in housing for free rotation relative to vertical axis. Inner part of turbine wheel is provided with space to arranged cantilever-mounted shanks of blades. Outer part of wheel is made in form of bevel gear. Movement conversion mechanism flywheel is mechanically coupled with hydraulic motor. Flywheel consists of two parts connected over perimeter by profiled blades and forming air blower. Upper part of flywheel has profiled surface to control exhaust valves, and in its lower part T-shaped slot is made over entire perimeter to engage with gears of reduction gear unit. Inner surface of flywheel is made cone-like, parallel to surface of cylinder block and plane of movement of connecting rods, and it is provided with working guide races for rollers secured on connecting rods.
EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption of engine and pollution of ambient atmosphere.
