FIELD: wind power engineering; wind power stations.
SUBSTANCE: proposed windmill with vertical axle of rotation is essentially rotor containing vertical shaft with tiers formed by brackets and blades rigidly installed along axle of rotation. Windmill contains additionally housing in form prism arranged between brackets coaxially with shaft, and horizontal screens. Blades are made in form of aerodynamic wings with one-side ailerons pointed to side of housing and arranged at a distance not exceeding length of wing leading edge. Each aileron is fastened by joint in body of wing leading edge to rest by free end on housing edge.
EFFECT: simplified design of windmill, increased wind energy utilization factor.
