FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: electrolyzer device has ion-selective barrier separating anode chamber from the cathode one. Electrolyte has precursor like potassium acetate or acetic acid in the electrolyzer. Positive potential is set on anode chamber anode that results in production of a number of short- or longtime surviving oxidants like peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and ozone. One preferential embodiment involves transferring solution containing an oxidant to an area where medical instruments or other things are placed to be cleaned. Oxidant is produced as required. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of sterilization and disinfection; no need in hazardous substances storage. 13 cl, 3 dwg
