FIELD: lubricants.
SUBSTANCE: compounded lubrication oil is based on paraffin isomerizates wherein degree of ramification measured as percentage of methyl hydrogens (B1) and distance between ramifications measured as percentage of repetitive methylene carbons, which are four or more carbon atoms cleaved from terminal group or from branch (CH2>4) such that B1-0.5(CH2>4) >15 and B1+0.85(CH2>4) <45 as measured in hydrocarbon base component. Oil contains also additives including detergent and antioxidant. Base components are characterized by factor of capability to biological degradation equal to at least 50% when tested according to standard OECD 310B, freezing temperature about -25°C to -55°C, and viscosity index 130-160°C. They are also characterized by surprisingly good viscosity al low temperature and CCS viscosity at -15°C not exceeding about 3500 cP and cinematic viscosity at 100°C about 5 cSt or higher.
EFFECT: enabled preparation of lubrication oils belonging to different viscosity classes combining high low-temperature working properties and biodegradation capability.
