FIELD: textile engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves providing operation of weaving machine equipped with main electric engine drive and gap forming mechanism equipped with additional electric engine drive, with main and additional electric engine drives being controlled by control unit; providing starting of weaving machine and gap forming mechanism and operation thereof at predetermined rotational speed; in case of occurrence of faults, providing stoppage of weaving machine and gap forming mechanism by means of brake. Gap forming mechanism is started within time interval Δ tl earlier than weaving machine, and weaving machine is started upon expiration of time interval Δ tl at the moment t2, which is beyond time interval Δ tl.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of fabric.
