FIELD: metal working, boring precise openings.

SUBSTANCE: mandrel includes body with thread for screw. In axial opening of body holder for fastening and tuning cutting member is jointly mounted; said holder may be moved by means of said screw. Holder is in the form of balance beam whose one arm engages with screw and with elastic member. In order to enhance reliability of holder fixation, holder is provided with stop for fixing its position. Elastic member is in the form of ring engaged with stop, holder and body. Mandrel may have axle with radial thread mounted in groove of holder. Screw is differential one, its one threaded surface engages with thread of body and its other threaded surface engages radial thread of said axle. Balance beam may have (in plane of articulation joints) spherical surface for engaging with axial opening of body.

EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of boring bar.
