FIELD: metal working, tools for finish working of openings.

SUBSTANCE: boring chuck includes body rigidly joined with mandrel. Cutter holder is mounted body with possibility of axial motion caused by limb rotation. Limb and cutter holder are adjoined one to another by screw surfaces. Cutter holder is spring-loaded relative to chuck body. Chuck also includes sleeve for mounting cutting members. In order to enhance accuracy due to increased rigidity boring chuck includes in addition screw with cone and ring with wedge surfaces. There are guides in chuck body; one plane of said guides is inclined. Sleeve has cone opening, wedge-shaped bead and wedge grooves. Screw cone engages with cone opening, wedge shaped bead engages with said inclined plane and wedge grooves engage with ring.

EFFECT: improved design, enhanced accuracy of boring.
