FIELD: power engineering; suspending conductors from suspension towers of overhead power transmission lines at long crossings.
SUBSTANCE: proposed clamp has draw-bar, clamping facility, multiple-roller hanger, and mechanism affording reduction of tension in case of line conductor break. Used as such mechanism is set bolt inserted in threaded hole of trunnion incorporating longitudinal notch that strictly follows shape of draw-bar bottom outer surface. Set bolt diameter, material, and design are chosen so as to ensure that share of bolt occurs in case of conductor break under action of emergency load and draw-bar easily slips together with conductor without dropping on metal parts of suspension tower.
EFFECT: facilitated replacement of expensive complex hangers of overhead lines on long crossings through natural obstacles.
