FIELD: automation of production processes; control over processes of sintering or drying of materials in a rotary calciner.
SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of control over a process of calcination of materials in a rotary calciner and is dealt with the field of automation of the indicated production processes. The technical result is improvement of the finished products and increased service life of elements of the rotary calciner. The method of control over the process of calcining of a material in the rotary calciner includes simulation of the process of calcining of a material with the help of its mathematical model, scanning of a temperature profile of an outer surface of the calciner body in the function of its length, forming and delivery of control actions on the temperature mode of calcining. The mathematical model allows to obtain an optimal or desirable trajectory of change of material temperature on all the length of the calciner and to use it as a given one. The scanned values of temperature using calculations are identified onto the temperature of the calcined material. Comparison of the identified value of the temperature of the material in the given zone of the calciner with the value of the material temperature calculated with the help of the mathematical model is conducted in the time intervals Δt depending on amount of time of change of the temperature of the rotary calciner body external surface, that is Δt = (0.5-l.0)Text - where Text - is the time of determination of the temperature of the calciner body external surface or the time of the time lag of temperature.
EFFECT: the invention ensures improvement of the finished products and increased service life of elements of the rotary calciner.
