FIELD: production of Ni, Fe or Al base alloys, manufacture of castings of such alloys by precise casting in vacuum, melting charge billets.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of creating in melting furnace electromagnetic field for melting and agitating metal in crucible in evacuated condition; providing in part of crucible by means of dividing partition space non-subjected to action of electromagnetic field. When metal is agitated, non-metallic inclusions move vertically and through openings of dividing partition they penetrate to space formed by partition and float up. Metal is further purified from non-metallic inclusions at pouring metal out of crucible through filtering members.
EFFECT: improved purity degree of metal in crucible and in castings.
