FIELD: supply mains voltage regulation and frequency conversion.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves change-over of modulator transistor switches in primary windings of matching transformer at time moments recognized by sign of supply mains voltage equiintegral deviation including elimination of low-frequency component from its composition at supply mains frequency. This direct conversion process is supplemented by pulse-width voltage regulation with clock frequency maintained constant at period equal to time step starting from moment when supply voltage crosses zero at varying lengths of modulation time steps.

EFFECT: reduced mass and size of transformer, enlarged voltage regulation range.
