FIELD: control of m-phase converters directly coupled with load and supply mains. SUBSTANCE: converters built around double-operation valves or artificially commutated thyristors are controlled as follows. Supply voltage fluctuations are corrected by adequately varying width of output pulses proceeding from equality of integral deviations of output voltage from control signal reduced to output at each period of modulating clock frequency; to this end, reference (scanning) voltage is proposed to be shaped by summing up two components of which one should be shaped by integrating from start of time step st zero initial conditions of difference between high and low phase voltage of supply mains involved in modulation process and lowest of voltages of mentioned phases should be taken as second component. EFFECT: improved characteristics of output voltage due to reduced supply voltage fluctuations implemented by simple control facilities using vertical principle of regulation. 8 cl, 1 dwg
