FIELD: reactive power correction for damping shock current variations and voltage distortions at inverter line input. SUBSTANCE: method implements vertical principle based on triple connection of each valve during line-voltage cycle at moments when reference voltages periodically varying in step with supply mains and control voltages are equal. Control voltages are varying as nonlinear function of two control actions independent within specified limits which enable proportional control of active and reactive power components at line input of single-phase full-wave inverter provided the latter is built around two operational valves and is operating into inductive load with load ripple current maintained constant and with sinusoidal line voltage. As an alternative, magnitudes and waveforms of compared voltages across pulse-phase control system of valves may be other than those proposed. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 6 cl, 4 dwg
