FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method can be used for bridge-type converter depending for its operation on vertical principle of pulse-width regulation of rectified voltage at the same time varying input reactive power and that conveyed to supply mains according to desired mechanism on condition that converter operates into inductive load with ripple-free load current and sine-wave supply voltage maintained constant. Two alternatives of this method are proposed. They differ in number of diode pairs of bridge inserted during supply voltage period and in mathematical expressions of control actions at input of pulse-phase control system used for independent proportional regulation of active and reactive components of power at power input of converter.
