FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for reducing fragmented femoral fractures refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics. A nail is inserted into an intramedullary canal of a proximal fragment up to a fracture line. That is followed by inserting a pin supported through a proximal end of an intermediate fragment towards the reposition required; the pin is fixed and tightened in a brace; the fragment is further adapted under control of an electron-optical converter to the proximal one with an intramedullary nail inserted into the intramedullary canal of the intermediate fragment; the supported pin is removed; the intramedullary nail is advanced in a distal direction up to a line of the second fracture, wherein the distal fragment is adapted to the proximal one with the nail inserted therein.
EFFECT: method is technically simple, requires no expensive equipment, enables avoiding any additional intraoperative injuries potentially accompanying the osteosynthesis and can be used in any traumatology departments.
