FIELD: shipbuilding; submarine ships running under ice and breaking ice cover by resonance method at surfacing in compact ice.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in breaking ice cover by flexural gravitational waves excited by ship running under ice at resonance speed. During motion of ship under ice cover, degassing of water is performed by means of ultrasonic radiator extended form ship's hull in the immediate vicinity of ice cover.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of breaking ice cover.
