FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: navigation in ice conditions in particular underwater vessels, floating in conditions of continuous ice cover and destroying it by the resonance method. Simultaneously with the movement of the vessel under the ice cover, with the help of an ultrasonic emitter extended from the vessel's hull, water is degassed in the area located in the immediate vicinity of the ice cover. The emitter is placed under the cavity of the flexural-gravity wave, which is formed above the vessel, and the water is degassed periodically with the frequency of resonant flexural-gravity waves for a time equal to half of their period.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of ice destruction.
