FIELD: rocket technique and may be used in the design of sub-caliber rounds for increasing their combat effectiveness.
SUBSTANCE: Round has a body, in which there is a sub-caliber shell with a detachable sabot. The sabot has a centering unit in the forward part of the sub-caliber shell in the shape of disintegrating segments and a propellant charge. The sabot is made in the form of a body which is provided with a cavity communicable with bottom part of the round's body at that the sabot is telescopically connected with the rear part of the sub-caliber shell and the propellant charge is located in the cavity of the sabot.
EFFECT: increases combat effectiveness due to increasing initial speed, decreasing initial dispersion, decreasing barrel's dimensions and mass.
