FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment for creating licorice plantations on former irrigated lands, which had been taken out of agricultural economy.
SUBSTANCE: shank of machine for planting licorice rootstock cutting in ground has tine with chisel and planting unit. Knife with cutting edge is mounted on tine front part. Planting unit formed as hollow bar is mounted on rear cut of tine. Planting unit is formed of left-handed and right-handed sides, which are mounted on tine and are offset rearward of knife cutting edge. Front portions of sides are equipped with blades. Rear cuts of sides are inclined toward tine chisel. Z-shaped configuration of side sections in conjunction with tine rear cut and guide for cuttings on rear cut of sides define cavity. Soil deforming parts and parts providing for stable contacting of cuttings with soil are formed on sides below lower edge of cutting guide.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in providing guaranteed planting of cuttings into ground and creation of stable licorice plant associations.
