FIELD: agriculture and agricultural engineering, in particular, processes for creating of stable licorice plant associations.
SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting vertical slits of 0.06-0.08 m width spaced one from another by distance of 1.4-2.8 m; compacting side walls in lower part of slit; placing cuttings onto cavity bottom and providing shift of local soil part in vertical plane. Slits are cut during movement in linear-transverse manner in two mutually intersecting directions with angles between intersecting directions being less than or equal to 90º, or by means of combined directions of movement of equally spaced lines of plot contour and rectilinear parallel movements along long side of plot. Apparatus for planting into soil of rootstock cuttings of licorice of Glycyrrhiza glabra L., Glycyrrhiza korshinskyi G. Grig. kinds for creating licorice plantations on abandoned fields, pastures, farming areas or for creating of sanitary and protective zones around industrial enterprises, as well as for creating of licorice plantations on abandoned irrigated massifs has machine adapted for planting into soil of licorice rootstock cuttings and comprising planting units including left-hand and right-hand sides oppositely mounted on tine. Rear parts of sides are made widened in upper portion of tine in widened zone having width 4-5 times the thickness of knife. Guide for cuttings is mounted between sides. Lower cut of guide is arranged below narrow part of knife tine. Method and apparatus allow soil fertility to be recovered upon expiration of 7-8 years and raw root or rootstock licorice material to be supplied, said material being used in chemical, pharmaceutical, medicine and other branches of industry.
EFFECT: minimal power and material sources consumed for creating of stable plant associations with the use of licorice plants of local ecoforms utilized as phytoameliorants.
