FIELD: mechanical engineering; rotary engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary piston machine contains housing accommodating two driving and two driven pistons. Gasket made of antifriction heat-resistant material is installed in housing between each pair of intake and outlet branch pipes. Said gaskets form compression zone in upper part of housing, and expansion zone in lower part. Sealing elements are made on upper part of pistons, each element being resilient element arranged on bottom of groove. Trapezoidal-section radial grooves made in ball surfaces of pistons are orientated square to axis of shafts. Bases of section are related as 1:3-1:5, and side is equal to length of smaller base. Resilient element is elliptical in cross section, its larger diameter 4-8% greater than length of middle line of grove trapezoidal section, and smaller diameter is equal to half of groove depth. Second resilient element of rectangular section is arranged on resilient element, its width being 2-4% greater than length of groove smaller base, and length provides forming of projection on ball surface of piston of height 1-2% from groove smaller base. Gaskets are made of elastic material.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
