FIELD: electrical engineering; production of storage batteries primarily for vehicles but also for other industries.
SUBSTANCE: proposed storage cell has case in the form of jar with lid accommodating plates at least partially immersed in electrolyte and connected to pole terminals brought out through case lid, and at least one sensor responding to cell parameters that generates electric signals and has its output connected to input of processor whose output is connected to cell parameters display. Storage cell has one or more various sensors such as cell state-of-charge sensor, cell terminal voltage sensor, motor-car supply voltage sensor, sensor responding to voltage drop during engine starting, engine starts sensor, operating hours sensor, electrolyte specific gravity sensor, electrolyte level sensor, electrolyte temperature sensor, cell internal resistance sensor, and others. Storage cell incorporates provision for automatic measurement and digital or any other display of its most important basic parameters directly on cell proper and also on operator's or driver's workstation.
EFFECT: ability of automatic measurement and display of storage cell basic parameters.
