FIELD: technical diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical diagnostics and can be used for determination of technical state of storage battery directly on object, for example, automobile. Solution of the set task is achieved by the fact that the battery diagnosis method, including the electrolyte level detection in each battery, is characterized by that the storage battery EMF is measured, measuring the starter full braking current value and the voltage consumed by the starter, wherein the vehicle is placed on a straight horizontal surface, the parking brake and the service brake are braked, wheel chocks are installed under wheels, include direct transmission in gearbox, switch on instruments and starter into engine starting position, according to the obtained results, the current-voltage characteristic of the accumulator battery is constructed and the short-circuit current of the accumulator battery is determined, the internal resistance of the accumulator battery is determined; the technical result of the diagnosed storage battery is determined based on the obtained results.

EFFECT: development of the present invention is aimed at improving the reliability of monitoring the technical state of the accumulator battery, reducing labour intensity when performing diagnostics.
