SUBSTANCE: device has load-catching gear with coupled inserts having stepped outer surface and facets in upper portion, congruent to inner channel of rotor, wedges, mounted in slanting grooves of inserts and connected to drive via guiding boards and supports with holders. It is provided with detachable links positioned between inner walls of its inserts and also with joining stops, positioned in upper portion of load-catching gear, and localizing and joining stops, positioned in lower portion of load-catching gear, while spaces Δa between side toothed surfaces of wedges along their whole length are determined from formula: Δa ≤ δ = 2·1·tgα/√2, where δ - thickness of walls of caught pipes; 1 - drive of wedges along height from pipe catching position to wedges joining position; α - slant angle of supporting surface of wedge.
