FIELD: mining industry.

SUBSTANCE: device has pipe catcher in rotor aperture, provided with localizer, inserts, having slanted grooves with supporting planes and wedges mounted in said grooves, connected to drive via supports with holders and guiding boards. Slanted grooves of inserts for wedges along whole length of supporting surfaces are made with side limiting walls, slanted relatively to support planes of inserts, while wedges are mounted with space relatively to side limiting walls of slanting grooves, while width B of lesser base is connected to width C of greater base of groove by relation C ≥ B + (D - D_min)/√2, where D - diameter of through aperture of localizer, D_min - minimal outer diameter of caught pipes.

EFFECT: higher reliability, higher personnel safety, higher serviceability.
