FIELD: engine manufacturing; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine operating on hydrogen. Proposed internal combustion engine contains at least one cylinder with cooling jacket, exhaust valve, spark plug, piston and cylinder head forming combustion chamber, hydrogen and oxygen source and nozzle with electrolyte supply pressure source. Hydrogen and oxygen source is made in form of electrolyzer installed in combustion chamber with supply to its electrodes from dc source and possibility of free passage of atomized electrolyte and splitting of water into oxygen and hydrogen at passing of direct current through electrolyte. Electrolyzer is made of metal with holes or of metal gauze in form of two electrodes-semiblocks inscribing into each other by their plates concentrically and with clearance. Electrolyte supply pressure source is made in form of high-pressure pump. Nozzle is provided with cavitator.

EFFECT: provision of cost-effective pollution-free engine.
