FIELD: mechanical engineering; four-stroke internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed four-stroke internal combustion engine contains, at least, one cylinder, cooling system, and piston with sealed space. Piston accommodates self-acting intake valve, electrolyzer with supply of dc current to its electrodes, and nozzle with cavitator and supply of water solution of electrolyte from high-pressure pump. Engine contains also positively controlled outlet valve and working mixture igniter. The latter is made in form of electrodes with possibility of adjustment of electrode-to-electrode gap, delivery of direct current, ignition and extinction of electric art. Electrodes are installed in combustion chamber where water dissociates into hydrogen and oxygen under action of electric arc.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of four-stroke internal combustion engine.
