FIELD: mechanical engineering; engine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines operating on hydrogen. Proposed internal combustion engine contains at least one cylinder with cooling jacket, intake and exhaust valves, spark plug, piston and cylinder head forming combustion chamber, hydrogen and oxygen source, nozzle and electrolyte pressure source. Hydrogen and oxygen source is made in form of electrolyzer in hermetically sealed housing with cooling jacked, cutoff and restrictor in outlet branch pipe, with electrodes supplied with current from dc source, and with electrolyte circulation circuit made in form of pump and nozzle with cavitator. Electrolyzer is made for free passage of working medium and decomposition of water into hydrogen and oxygen, with possibility of regulated delivery of gaseous mixture, thus obtained, into intake branch pipe of each cylinder. Electrolyzer is detachably installed on engine. Electrolyte pressure source is made in form of pump and nozzle with cavitator. Electrolyzer is made of metal with holes or of metal gauze, in form of two electrodes-semiunits inscribed by their rectangular plates intro one another clearance. Cavitator is made in form of local construction of nozzle channel.
EFFECT: provision of ecologically clean internal combustion engine with low consumption of fuel.
