FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves scanning operation zone at intrascleral level in sagittal plane using high frequency ultrasound. Slice of maximum cavity area is prepared. Cicatricial tissue thickness is determined from this slice above the cavity above its highest point and maximum cavity height. Cavity cross-section being not less than 0.16 mm2 and cicatricial tissue thickness ratio relative to maximum height being not greater than 2:1, conclusion is drawn that plastic operation is indicated.
EFFECT: high accuracy in selecting operation method.
