FIELD: chemical industry; metallurgical industry; by-product-coking industry and community facilities.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the methods of sewage purification and may be used at the enterprises of chemical industry, metallurgy, by-product-coking industry and community facilities purification of sewage with a low share of ammonium ions. The method of sewage purification from ammonium ions provides for correction of sewage pH with the help of a reagent with the following treatment of the sewage with an oxidizing agent in the equivalent amount or with a surplus of 5 % to the ammonium ions quantity. At that the sewage pH is kept not exceeding 5 and in the capacity of the oxidizing agent use clarified sewage of the gas-purifying installations, formed at purification of a chlorine-containing gas by lime milk. The method ensures an increase of speed of a purification process at low temperatures and allows to purify great volumes of sewage with a high performance.
EFFECT: the invention ensures increased speed of a sewage purification process at low temperatures and purification of great volumes of sewage with a high performance.
