FIELD: plastic working of metals, possibly manufacture of elongated low-rigidity axially symmetrical shafts.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mounting shaft in fixture and loading it with bending and twisting moments applied eccentrically relative to its axis; placing shaft vertically and preliminarily creating static loading of shaft, fixing it in bearing assemblies, applying bending and twisting oscillations at resonance frequencies to cross sections of shaft containing zones of antinodes of predetermined oscillation frequencies; in addition applying to one end of shaft twisting lengthwise oscillations. Apparatus for performing the method includes powered drive with carrier, guides, sliding supports of two types, rigid and elastic ones, unit for static loading. Carrier is in the form of prism and it is joined through lever - connecting rod mechanism with crank drive. Connecting rod may move along levers. Elastic converter is secured to end of blank and it is subjected to action of oscillations created by means of electromechanical oscillator.
EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities due to elimination of problems related to amplitude deformation control.
