SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new derivatives of glucopyranosyloxybenzylbenzene represented by the formula (I): 
wherein R1 represents hydrogen atom or hydroxy(lower)alkyl; R2 represents lower alkyl group, lower alkoxy-group and lower alkylthio-group being each group is substituted optionally with hydroxy- or (lower)alkoxy-group, or to its pharmaceutically acceptable salts. Also, invention relates to pharmaceutical composition eliciting hypoglycemic activity and to a method for treatment and prophylaxis of hyperglycemia-associated diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, obesity and others, and to their intermediate compounds. Invention provides preparing new derivatives of glucopyranosyloxybenzylbenzene that elicit the excellent inhibitory activity with respect to human SGLT2.
EFFECT: valuable medicinal properties of compounds.
