FIELD: growing low-nitrogen diamond monocrystals for manufacture of various diamond tools.
SUBSTANCE: proposed reaction cell includes cylindrical heating element with current lead-in covers and current lead-in rods, tablets mounted coaxially in center for locking the cell, insulating tablet for insulation of inner bush where carbon source made in form of ring and metal-solvent are located in hottest zone; substrate with seed diamond crystal placed on its projection is located in cold zone. Seed crystal is shifted relative to substrate center. Pressed in insulating tablet or in substrate at distance of 0.3-0.5 mm from metal-solvent zone is washer or ring made from Ti; weight of washer or ring is 1-5% of weight of metal-solvent; insulating tablet and substrate are made from mixture of powders ZrO2, CaO, NaCl at the following ratio of components, weight-%: ZrO2=6065; CaO=20-30 and NaCl=10-15.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining large low-nitrogen flawless diamond monocrystals.
