FIELD: production of nickel-base refractory alloys, possibly casting of gas turbine engine blades.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of producing blank in ingot mold having in its upper portion ceramic insert; before pouring melt, placing in ceramic insert perforated ceramic partition; determining total area of openings according to formula Σ P open = (0.10 - 0.30)S , where Σ P open - total surface area of openings in partition, cm2; S - total surface area of ceramic partition, cm2. Quantity of openings for one cm2 of partition surface area is in range 2 - 10. Partition provide dividing of poured melt by streams for preventing splashing of melt. In crystallized casting directed upward heat sink is created. It provides possibility for making dense casting with minimum extension of blister.
EFFECT: less loss of yield of charge blank, its lowered cost price.
