FIELD: water treatment, water preparing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water treatment from iron using sorbents. Water is passed through sorbent layer wherein mineral pyrolusite is used of fraction 0.3-0.7 mm that comprises β-MnO2 followed by filtration through filter-backing made of alloy of fluoroplastic and soda ash with pores size 40-100 mcm and wherein the mass ratio of fluoroplastic to soda ash = 1:1, and the volume ratio of sorbent to filter-backing = (4-5):1, respectively. Method provides enhancing degree of treatment of drinking water to practically the complete absence of iron and allows effective purifying water from other chemical elements. Invention can be used for treatment of drinking water and technological waters in food and other branches of industry wherein rigid requirements for the content of iron in water are imposed.
EFFECT: improved method for treatment.
