FIELD: alloy metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides cobalt-based alloys and products therefrom suitable for manufacturing mineral wool. Variants of such alloys are proposed showing high mechanical strength at high temperature in oxidative medium. Mineral wool is manufactured through internal centrifugation involving pouring molten mineral material over fiber-formation plate made from cobalt-based alloy. Invention also proposes products from cobalt-based alloys operable in oxidative medium at temperature at least 1100°C and a method for manufacture thereof.
EFFECT: widened assortment of mineral material compositions.
