FIELD: agroindustrial complex.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of rational employment of secondary resources of agroindustrial complex. Vegetable material for preparing food sorbent represents fruit coat of sunflower seeds, from which ballast substances are removed via extraction for 30 to 100 min at 45-55°C with solvent selected from extraction gasoline, light petroleum, and "nefras", ratio of solvent to fruit coat being (5-20):1. Fruit coat is then separated from solution of ballast substances by settling, after which water is added to separated fruit coat, mixture is held for 10 to 60 min, frozen, held at temperature between -4 and -20°C for 30 to 240 min, unfrozen at 25-100°C, and dried at 100-200°C.
EFFECT: enabled preparation of sorbent efficiently clarifying dark colored vegetable oils.
