FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of sorption materials based on natural polymers of phytogenesis. Method for obtaining a sorbent from sunflower husks is proposed. Husks is soaked, drying at 80 °C to constant mass and grinding to fraction of 0.3–0.5 mm. According to method, soaking of the husks is carried out in a 0.5 M sodium hydroxide solution at mass ratio of a husk / sodium hydroxide solution of 1:5 in a microwave field with a specific power of 1–5 W/cm3 within 5–15 minutes.
EFFECT: obtaining a sorbent with a high sorption capacity by increasing porosity while reducing duration of process.
