FIELD: glassmaking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing process for sheet glass and glass containers. Process comprises following operations: providing glass mixture and broken glass, glass fusion, and converting molten glass into glass products. Broken glass is additionally provided in one or several glass-melting furnaces by fusing a part of provided glass mixture and broken glass until formation of glass mass with specified composition, which is drawn through forming rolls into tape with specified thickness and width and then crushed within a temperature range 600-100°C, or molten glass is poured on glass granulator at 1350-1150°C. When broken glass is increased by 30 to 100% in glass-making furnace during glass product manufacturing process, productivity of process line increases by 5 to 50%. Process allows substantially adjusting chemical composition and color of glass to produce high-quality glass mass and also solves problems arising in effective reuse of mixed transparent or multicolored broken glass.
EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency and essentially improved environmental safety of glass manufacturing process.
