FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine comprises axially aligned working chambers defined by rotating a figure around its outer axis and having rectangular cross-section. One of the wall of the working space is reverse-rotating hollow shaft secured to the pistons and rocker that transmits motion to the output shaft through the connecting rod. The distributing mechanism is made of a pipe that rotates inside a hollow shaft. The walls of the pipe and hollow shaft are provided with openings which are repeatedly in coincidence due to the reverse rotation of the hollow shaft and rotation of the pipe, thus providing fresh and exhaust charge to be flow through the openings.
EFFECT: simplified structure and enhanced reliability.
