FIELD: electrical and radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is intended for measuring magnetic flux density by more than one three-component magnetometers such as those incorporated in underwater magnetic measurement facility. Magnetometers are adjusted in advance on beach, then installed on site, and approximately positioned along geomagnetic coordinate system. Heterogeneous magnetic fields of off-site sources are removed for the time being, magnetic field of the Earth is measured by all magnetometers, and local magnetic declination is also measured. Measurement results are used to construct matrices of angular matching between each magnetometer and reference one, between that of reference magnetometer and geomagnetic coordinate system, and between geomagnetic and geographical coordinate systems. Next measurement results are multiplied by these matrices, angular errors are eliminated, and results are matched to any of three coordinate systems.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of angular matching of three-component sensors.
