PELLETIZED FUEL PRODUCTION LINE FOR FUEL ELEMENTS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: nuclear power engineering; pelletized uranium fuel production for fuel elements of nuclear reactor fuel assemblies.

SUBSTANCE: proposed line is provided with process device designed for removing zinc-containing scab from furnace tunnel of pellet sintering unit and made in the form of elongated rod with scrapers in top and side butt-end parts entered on loading end throughout entire heating zone and supported by draw-out tray, with supporting skids disposed in middle part of device resting on lining of trough carrying vehicle. Other butt-end of device carries longitudinal reciprocation and upward-down motion drive installed beyond furnace area and second process device in the form of elongated rod with scraper whose thickness equals half the distance between side lining of furnace tunnel and trough carrying vehicle, with adjustable-height support in rod center resting on trough carrying vehicle surface and reciprocation drive on other end of rod.

EFFECT: enhanced productivity and service life of furnace.
