FIELD: nuclear power industry.

SUBSTANCE: processing of uranium dioxide UO2 powder or mixture of uranium dioxide UO2 and uranium oxide U3O8 powders makes it possible to prepare press-powder that consists of mixture of uranium dioxide UO2 powder up to 85% and uranium oxide U3O8 powder of up to 15%, without increase of volume fraction of open pores of more than 1%, and also makes it possible to prepare pressed pellets with density of up to 6 g/cm3 at pressing pressures of up to 4500 kgf/cm2 without generation of cracks and with even shrinkage during sintering, which makes it possible to reduce wastes during polishing of pellets.

EFFECT: increase of specific efficiency of pellet sintering lines.
