FIELD: nuclear power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering, in particular to a method of producing pelletised fuel for fuel elements of nuclear reactors on fast and thermal neutrons. Method involves preparation of a press powder containing uranium dioxide or uranium dioxide and plutonium dioxide in an amount of up to 20 wt% in a mixture of uranium and plutonium dioxide, mixing the obtained mixture with a dry binder, which is uranyl [UO2(C17H35COO)2], pressing, thermal removal of binder and sintering of pelletised fuel in gaseous reducing medium.

EFFECT: invention ensures production of pelletized fuel with required characteristics, simplification of technological process of fuel production, reduced risks of process violation and exclusion of foreign components in fuel composition.
