FIELD: manufacture of anodes for aluminum electrolyzers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preliminary heating of coke charge, coke dust and pitch and mixing them during heating. To improve quality of anode mass and reduce time required for its preparation, coke charge and coke dust are heated separately to temperature of 200-240°C; then, coke charge is fed to mixer and is mixed there, after which molten pitch is introduced and is mixed with coke charge and then coke dust is fed at continuous mixing.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
