FIELD: production of anode mass for manufacture of anode aluminum electrolyzers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preliminary separate heating of coke charge, coke dust and pitch followed by mixing the coke charge in mixer, introducing the molten pitch and coke dust into mixer and mixing them with coke charge. To enhance plasticity of anode mass and to reduce content of pitch, coke dust is separately mixed with molten pitch in hydraulic-impact cavitation disperser; coke charge is fed first and is mixed, after which composition of molten pitch with coke dust is introduced; molten pitch is mixed with coke dust and dust-and-pitch composition thus obtained is mixed at pressure not above 100 millibar.
EFFECT: reduction of time required for preparation of anode mass; enhanced homogeneity of anode mass; low consumption of pitch.
