FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to production of aluminium by electrolysing melt salts, particularly to production of anode mass for forming self-calcinating anode of aluminium electrolytic cell and can be implemented at production of calcined anodes for same purposes. Anode mass for forming the self-calcinating anode of the aluminium electrolytic cell contains coke charge, coal-tar asphalt and an inhibitor corresponding to heavy resin of hydrocarbons pyrolysis at the following ratio of elements, wt %: coal-tar asphalt 24-27, heavy resin of of pyrolysis of hydro-carbons of oil origin 5-15, coke charge 61-68.

EFFECT: upgraded engineering-and-economical performance of electrolytic production of aluminium and upgraded quality of anode mass.
