FIELD: road construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to road rollers used for layer-by-layer compaction of pre-planned bulk soils and gravel-crushed stone materials during the construction of highways and similar structures. The drum of a road roller comprises a drum frame 1 covering a cylindrical shell 2 made of an elastic material. Inside the shell 2 there is a cantilever beam 3, one end of which is rigidly fixed to the frame 1. On the cantilever beam 3 there are three rollers 4, 5 resting on the inner surface of the shell 2, one of which 5 has an eccentric drive shaft equipped with a hydraulic drive with a hydraulic motor 6. On the side of the free end of the cantilever beam 3, inside the shell 2 there is an end disk 7 equipped with a rotation drive, connected to the shell 2 by elastic connections 8. The rotation drive of the end disk 7 is made in the form of a hydraulic motor 9 mounted on a beam with a gearbox 10, the output shaft 11 of which is located along the axis of the end disk 7. The output shaft 11 of the gearbox 10 is connected to the end disk 7 through a drive shaft 12 mounted on a cantilever beam 3 in bearing supports 14. The connection of the output shaft 11 of the gearbox 10 with the end disk 7 through the drive shaft 12, mounted on the cantilever beam 3 in the bearing supports 14, makes it possible to reduce the load in the bearing supports 14 of the end drive 6 and the drive shaft 12.
EFFECT: reduction in material consumption and an increase in the reliability of the drum.
